NATIONAL
FINALS - STOKE-ON-TRENT

We had another
successful competition at the NDP National Finals. James &
Craig beat competition from 10 regions including big clubs
such as Deerness Valley and Spelthorne to take 1st place and claim
the Gold medal in the Men's G2 Pairs. James also won Gold
on the track at Nat.1, where he only had 1 other competitor to
beat.
Although these were
our only medals, everyone should be proud of their achievements
and I believe they all performed as well as could be expected. Olivia,
who is still only 14, competed in the Nat.2 15+ tumbling and
finished in 7th. Sarah B competed in the Nat.2 12-14 age
group tumbling and finished 9th. On the floor, Nick Holder
& Sarah Barrington finished 10th, but this did not tell
the full story. They scored a very impressive 26.10, but the
standard was extremely high and as a judge I would sat the winners
from Glasgow performed the best G1 routine I have ever seen. In
the same category, Nick Hole & Sarah Scott finished
19th, which may not sound impressive but again improved on their
score from the SW Finals. Nick Holder & Nick Hole came
11th in the G1 Men's Pairs.
Every one of them
should be very proud. Well done and remember that hard work will
bring it's reward!

MAY
CAMP AT GRYPHON

On Saturday 31st
May we are camping over at the Gryphon, have a BBQ, drinks, games and generally have a fun
evening, and be ready to do gym again on the Sunday. If the
weather is against us, we have permission to sleep inside the
Leisure Centre, and we have changed gym times on the Sunday to
11-3pm. This is a very important weekend to prepare for
competitions so please try to attend.
