TUMBLING - GLOUCESTER

Well done to every single gymnast who went to Gloucester and tumbled at the weekend. As head coach, I was extremely proud of you all. Special mention must go to Olivia Minter, Sarah Barrington and James Bell who have qualified to represent Gryphon West, and the South West, at National Finals in May.

We had 5 more Gold medal winners, Hannah, Chloe, Ella, Nick & Owen, as well as a Silver medal through Jordan and 2 Bronzes won by Craig and Catherine. I would like to thank Dave for his hard work on the track, along with Scott, Richard, Nicky and James, who have all helped people with their flicks.

I hope we will continue to get the whole track out as much as possible and continue to develop this potential. Even Nicole took part for the first time and completed a flick run and was very unlucky not to be in the medals too.

WELFARE OFFICER

Can I just remind you all that the Club has 2 Welfare Officers should you have a problem? Sam Hole (Nick’s Mom) is one, and the other if a gymnast needs someone to talk to, is Gemma Voysey, who is doing the training course this month.

HELP WITH TRANSPORT

Nick Hole is having problems getting to gym on a Thursday night - can anyone help? His parents are quite willing to collect in return but have trouble getting him there. If you can help, please contact Sam.

LONDON FESTIVAL

We sent forms out attached to February’s newsletter, regarding interest for the London Festival. We would like these back by the end of March, so we can think about plans, routines, costumes, accommodation etc. We are thinking of having the theme “Halloween” by the way, seems quite appropriate for an October festival.

CAMPING WEEKEND

Saturday 31^st May (Bank holiday weekend) is where we have gym on both the Saturday and the Sunday at The Gryphon Leisure Centre. We have been given the go ahead to pitch our tents and have a Camp over and family BBQ. Pencil this in your diary to make it a great weekend. More details will follow nearer the time.
