Fundraising
The
club are pleased to provide feedback that reads very pleasantly towards
this year's fundraising efforts and we'd like to thank everyone who has
helped at any of the four events at which we've raised the following
profit:
This
comes to a grand total of £2,208.78 purely from refreshments and raffles.
This makes a big difference to the club and a huge thanks to all involved.

Yate
Feedback
Jane
would like to provide some feedback from this weekend's competition.
Our
highest G1 Trio was Mollie, Jemima and Alice who came 11th out of 29. At
G2 Women's Pairs, Nicky & Maddie came 6th out of 28. At G2 Mixed
Pairs, we came so close to the medals, taking 4th, 5th and 6th places out
of 11. The highest of these was Nick & Alice who were only 0.05 off
the bronze medal.
At
G3 Women's Pairs, Jo & Sarah, after a poor balance routine which left
them lying 7th at the halfway point, performed a far better tempo routine
moving them up to finish 4th out of 10. G3 Mixed Pairs saw Nick &
Sarah take the gold, but James & Sammy had to settle for bronze after
Sammy hurt her ankle and were unable to complete their tempo routine. This
same injury also impacted on the G3 Women's Trios, so Jo, Nicky &
Sammy had to settle for 5th.
James
& Craig were the only competitors at Men's G4 Pairs so took the gold
with very respectable scores. The G4 Men's Four were again on their own,
but also took some great praise over the weekend for their routines. In
fact, they scored Gryphon West's highest score of the weekend.
Overall,
the club received real comments of praise from other clubs including City
of Bristol, Harriers, Eagles and very importantly, from King Edmund's.
Well done to everyone who competed.

Coaches
Meeting
This
takes place this Sunday to review the way we work and partnerships, so
please return your questionnaire slips before then.

Southwest Prep
A&B, Grade 1 Pairs & Tumbling
This
Sunday sees us host the SW Championships for 2009 and your help is once
again required. Remember, we all benefit from the fundraising, so please
support the club whether you are competing or not.
Help
is required in the following areas:
-
Refreshments
- We again need refreshments we can sell and actually we could do with
more cakes and less sandwiches this time. Tsui has a list, so please
attach your name to an item of food. Again, on the day, we need help
on the refreshment stall and we will ensure that you get to see your
child compete. If everyone were to do just one hour, we would have
more than enough support.
-
Raffle
- We still have some prizes left from the last competition. However,
we could do with some bottles of wine and some children's toys. If you
have any spare, please bring them in on Sunday.
-
Setting
Up & Clearing Away - Once again, we'll need to set things up and
clear away after the competition and all help is greatly appreciated
with chairs, floor etc.
Additionally,
all the Southwest t-shirts have been ordered and will be delivered in time
for this week's competition. Please can we have your money as soon as
possible as the club has paid for these upfront. All monies to Katie or
Jane.

Yeovil
Town Family / Season Ticket Release Day
On
Sunday 26th July, we have been invited to attend Yeovil Town where we will
have the Air Track and half a floor for training and display purposes. Try
to keep this day free as we want to look as impressive as possible. In
September, we may well be performing as half-time entertainment for a League
One match, so we want to create a good impression. Mark it in your diary!
