London Festival

Although several newsletters have gone out, we have spoken with several gymnasts this last week who have not yet paid their £10 deposit for the London Festival, but are telling us they are intending to go. We are finalising transport and accommodation and need to submit numbers to the festival organisers. Therefore, if your child is planning on attending please can you ensure you pay your deposit by Saturday 1st May. Any problems, please speak with Jane.

Committee Meetings

Our next Committee Meeting is set for 1st May. However, as it turns out this is not a very good date for a lot of people, so we have decided to make this a very quick meeting to quickly agree the revised Club Constitution and Welcome Pack; hopefully just 15-20 mins. We will have a proper Committee Meeting on the Saturday of the Camp Over. Both of these meetings will be immediately after gym.

Sponsorship

We are trying to obtain sponsorship from any local company for our new tracksuits, where they might contribute money towards them for their name on the tracksuit. If anyone knows of any company that might be interested, please let David Barrington or Jane know.

Camp Over

Just to remind everyone that for our sessions over the weekend on Sat 5th / Sun 6th June, we intend to do gym on the Saturday as normal, hold a quick Committee Meeting and then have our annual Camp Over, which is usually really good fun and a real social evening. We'll pitch our tents on the grass at the back of the Gryphon, have a BBQ (just bring your own food) and play a game of rounders etc. This is an event for all the family and we hope you can join us. Last year we had in the region of 50 people. Those of you that only do Thursday's, we would love you to join us.

Thorpe Park

A date will be set shortly for a trip to Thorpe Park which will be open to all those that are interested. It is intended that this is after the SW Championships in July to make it a grand finale and a good start to the summer.
